An Egyptian ceramic ushabti with insciption

Description

A mummiform ushabti modeled in the classic Osiride form, wearing a tripartite wig and false beard, with a serene, idealized face. The arms are crossed at the chest, hands emerging to hold the traditional agricultural implements — a hoe and pick — with what appears to be a seed bag or cord slung over the left shoulder, standard attributes marking the figure’s function as a worker-substitute in the afterlife. The body is glazed in a mottled blue-green faience, with characteristic surface wear and mineral efflorescence consistent with burial and age.
