Description
A Roman marble bust of Hercules wearing a lion skin tied loosely just below the neck. His long hair contains rich curls that extend throughout his beard below. The muscles of his arms are well defined and his torso is thick to convey the subject’s fabled strength. An unidentified object rests under left arm, possibly in reference to one of his myths.
