This large Cypriot footed bowl displays a solemn grace, the girth of its wide body tapering to a shortened foot upon which it rests. This unique piece remains as fresh today as on the day it was made, its expertly shaped form enhanced by the magnificent patterns that decorate its exterior. These decorations are also found within the bowl itself giving a hint that this piece was not for wine or ointments, but for the dry goods grown in the field.
