Description
A solid-cast bronze figure of a recumbent ibex, legs folded beneath the body, with large ridged horns sweeping back in a dramatic arc and a naturalistically modeled head and muzzle. The dark brown-black patina with reddish corrosion is consistent with age. Recumbent ibex figures are a recognized subject in Elamite and related Luristan bronze traditions, often functioning as small votive or decorative objects, sometimes linked to mountain wildlife and fertility symbolism.
