Description
This copper axe head has an exceptionally slender convex blade and narrow, slightly tapering shaft. The socket is fashioned as a stylized lion’s head, with the shaft and blade quite literally issuing from the open jaws of the beast. Atop this head sits a human figure, whilst a second lion lies vertically along the outer edge.
