Description

Luristan bronze is a term referring to a set of early bronze artifacts that were recovered from western Iran. These objects included tools, ornaments, ceremonial objects, and weapons such as the dagger seen here. Luristan bronze objects were made by ancient Persians in the Early Iron Age, and they date from as far back as 1200 B.C.E..
This sword has a large lobed hilt that connects to a wide protrusion just before the blade starts. The blade displays a soft leaf-like curve that conceals the deadly force inherent in the timeless purpose of this beautiful weapon.
