Canaanite Chalice

Description
Description

Chalices were used in religious ceremonies throughout antiquity, intended to hold a drink. This Canaanite chalice was most liked utilized by members of an Ancient Semitic religion, one of many practiced by the Canaanites in the ancient Levant. It is remarkably well crafted, characterized by a sharply cut rim common at the end of the Late Bronze age.

The neck flares out into a wide base, yet the most unique feature of this piece is inside the mouth, which reveals a mysterious symbol of mystical origins.
