Description

A mold-blown glass vessel in the form of a human head, in translucent aquamarine glass with an iridescent, weathered surface typical of buried ancient glass. The trefoil-mouthed spout and handle rise from the crown, while the face and hair form the vessel’s body — youthful features with a straight nose and composed mouth, framed by short comma-curl fringe and waved locks at the temples, a hairstyle consistent with Nero’s early imperial portrait type, most likely depicting the emperor
