Description
A Urartu jar with a broad, flaring conical body and dark, mottled patina, its shoulder flanked by two confronting ibex figures in high relief — sharply curved ridged horns, alert ears, and sturdy bodies facing outward on either side of the rim. The ibex was a recurring motif in Urartian metalwork, likely tied to the mountain wildlife of the Armenian highlands and carrying symbolic associations with fertility or royal, divine iconography
