Description

Associated with the god Zeus, the bird stands proudly, his claws gripping a thunderbolt. Incised all over the body with wavy lines to represent its plummage, the wing feathers more naturalistically depicted. Wing tips crossed over the squared off tail feathers. The long, sharply hooked beak decorated with incised dots and with the nares (nostrils) shown. The underside of the tail plain and with a hole for attachment.
